I had ideal walking conditions for this afternoon’s walk across Smithills Moor following the old Dean Ditch. It was nicely warm, but not too hot, and with a gentle breeze.

I had two and a half hours of strolling across Smithills Moor with my two dogs Brett and Sam this afternoon. We set off from the car park on Winter Hill and strolled via Holdens Farm and Gilligants Farm before taking the old Coal Pit Road onto the moor.

Diary 2011 – Week 19

I had a very pleasant walk over Smithills Moor this afternoon with Brett and Sam. Six miles and 4-1/2hr of tennis ball throwing – Brett and Sam did about 12ml chasing them.
