Rivington to Anglezarke and Back
With the weather decidedly damp it was a day for keeping to the low terrain, so the dogs and I took a stroll from Rivington to Anglezarke Reservoir and back, taking in paths I hadn’t been on for some time.
Photo Art
From time to time I like to spend a little time with Photoshop to produce simulated art from some of my pictures taken during various walks. I present some of them here for you to stroll through, hope you like them.
2011 Diary – Week 6
Dry stone walls fascinate me, they’re like a jigsaw puzzle with an infinite number of pieces. And the fact that many of these walls have stood for over 100 years with no maintenance – respect to the builders.

I’d passed through it a couple of times recently, but only briefly as a more pleasant means of getting higher up Georges Lane. Scarecrows and Other Things
Blackrod is just across the valley from where I live, and today they had a contest. These are a common feature in many small towns and villages around England during the summer months so I thought I’d take a trip over to Blackrod to see if there were any interesting sights.
