December 01 2011 - The Tree
Once again the flat light from the cloudy sky meant another afternoon of looking in vain for a good landscape photo opportunity. So I decided I would take a picture of a bare tree with the grey sky behind then, when I got back home I would spend some time in Photoshop having a bit of fun changing the sky to see what came up.

November 28 2011 - Tree in the Sunset
Had a 2hr walk with my dogs around Rivington Terraced Gardens up as far as the Pigeon Tower, looking all the while for a photo opportunity. But all the autumn leaves are dirty and wet from recent rains, and I looked in vain for anything else worthwhile to photograph. So we made our way back through the gardens and were within about 200yd of my car when I spotted this tree and a fading sunset behind it.

I seem to be having the same problem, it has been raining here for a couple of days and the scenery has become very lifeless with nothing but dead grass, leaves and harvested fields. Tonight we have a 70% chance of snow, hopefully we will get enough to produce some good photos. Your sunset is quite beautiful!
